END

END

In the end, you will leave

You will say my arms have become thorns

Too piercing to hold

You will say I am no longer enough to drink in

That my waters do not run deep enough

In the end, you will say this face is too familiar

That the eyes that once held promise have become binding chains

In the end, you will go

Because I have always known

That your touch was measured

You never jumped and your feet never touched these waters

In the end, you will say it was not my fault

That you needed something more

Something that I was not, something you could not define

In the end, I will let you go

Because I know that we are blind souls looking for the light

That the search is all we know

That standing still will be the death of us.

    Very nice piece.

“In the end, I will let you go

Because I know that we are blind souls looking for the light

That the search is all we know

That standing still will be the death of us.”

These last few lines say so much. Everyone is searching for something that they don’t know or can’t define with words. And a lot of times we find them but they aren’t the way we want and then we keep searching.
    The search becomes endless.
