Totally agree! In Bisi Alimi’s words, stop being a victim! I wont flaunt my sexuality in your face but if you somehow get to find out, i also wont crawl into a hole and hide like a hunted animal, I’ll continue to stand tall and proud, continue to strive for perfection in all i do and probably do all this while looking a hell of a lot better and living a more fabulous life than you – Mr Straight Homophobe!

It’s so heart-lifting that these exact words kept ringing in my head on the 9th day of November. The way I stood up to those miscreants unapologetic and with their ego in my hands, makes me so proud!
Making them understand that I didn’t create myself the way I am neither am I dissatisfied with my present being makes my story a DIGNIFYING one, when it could easily have been a MORTIFYING one.

This is exactly what i preach, if you are gay, do not announce it or go about looking for straight converts, be yourself, be smart and focused, ur achievements eida makes dis homophobes become ur friend or dey willingly come to be converted……….I have actually bin trapped in a gay hate discussions with straight homophobes……the normal reaction of a gay guy is to remain calm, speechless and in chronic self arrest, i used to do dis but now, i dislodge dia assertions with multiple questions they may not be able to answer…….
