Gbenro Ajibade makes an instagram post with a rainbow amid marriage crisis rumours, and unleashes speculation about his sexuality
Just when Nigerians were recovering from the stew Wizkid and Tiwa Savage served in the Starboy’s record-breaking Fever music video, news started spreading about trouble in the marriage of celebrity couple, Osas Ighodaro and Gbenro Ajibade.
Much of the crisis is implied from speculation surrounding the couple’s social media activity, primarily Gbenro’s. The actor has presumably been in Atlanta Georgia since March, while his wife, Osas, is in Nigeria. Gbenro failed to wish her a happy birthday on Instagram a few days ago, and then blocked off the comments section of his latest instagram posts. A quick check on both couple’s accounts shows that they have deleted their photos together, and Gbenro has allegedly unfollowed Osas from the photo-sharing site.
And on the heels of all this tizzy these oddities have sent the internet on, Gbenro made an instagram post, showing off his partially-clad body and basically celebrating life. (Newly single man feels, anybody?)
On one of the posts, he captioned it together with a rainbow emoticon.
Instablog9ja reposted this with a salacious caption that sent Nigerians on a meltdown. Because, of course, nothing raises the hackles of average Nigerians than something relating to the LGBT.

October 30, 09:13Wow people can judge! Marriages are just complicated these days…sometimes I feel like we’re meant to live without marriages just like other animals. Human beings will stop getting married in the future, I am very sure of this!

October 30, 10:22If it was any other city in the world ? I would have waved it off as another social media trolling of a celebrity for being gay.
But Atlanta Georgia… THE BLACK GAY MECCA OF THE WORLD… MBA that city would turn a straight man gay ogbeni.
Congratulations dear on your coming out.
