Kim Kardashian’s clapback to Tyson Beckford: harmless shade or a case of misogyny meets homophobia?

According to a social media post captured by The Shade Room, model Tyson Beckford took time out of his busy schedule to keep up with the Kardashians and comment on Kim Kardashian’s body, which absolutely no one asked him to do. Underneath a picture of her, Beckford wrote, “Sorry, I don’t care for it personally.”

“She is not real, doctor fucked up on her right hip,” he wrote, with an added green “gonna vomit” emoji.

Kardashian responded to Beckford’s (totally unnecessary, body shaming) comments by saying, “Sis we all know why you don’t care for it.” Along with the comment, she added the frog and tea emoji, the international symbol for “But that’s none of my business.”

After the comments showed up on The Shade Room, while some people reacted to Kim’s comments like they were a deserved response to Beckford’s misogyny, some others on Twitter called out Kardashian for her homophobia in the comments and on social media.

What do y’all think? Sound of in the comments.

All the girls in my class should use ‘sis’ for me. I’ll be happier. But wait, I hope Tyson is gay. I can’t unfuck him in my brain.

I was actually loving Kim’s clapback when I saw it yesterday, until I read this post and reasoned how it might be a bit of an issue. If Tyson is straight, then she’s implying that the only reason he doesn’t find her sexually appealing is because he’s gay and not that he’s a jerk.

Lol. Oh well. World people, we too dey vex.

Kim’s statement wasn’t homophobic. It’s a telltale that she’s got a voluptuous body which no man could resist. So she just wouldn’t stoop so low to call Tyson “gay” – reason why she made a subtle statement which only a few could relate. Tyson got a well-deserved clapback afterall.
