MY LOVER

MY LOVER

She’s a beauty to be awoken by

Hovering over me, she drags me from sleep with a kiss

This, world, is the way of my lover.

*

She is a true woman

Rounded in her hips with soft lips

Raised well by her mother, she never

Lets a day go by without my every need being met

*

My lover is amazing

Her voice spreads heat to every part of my being

My lover is poetry in motion

Her every move is sensual

Causing commotion in my brain

*

I like to watch her, my lover that is.

I like to sit in the club and watch her dance.

I like to watch her move her body slowly to the music

Making everyone fade into darkness

In this darkness that NEPA has put us in

 She’s my light.

*

We have lived our lives in a flight

But I’ll be damned if we didn’t live it right!

She is mine and I am hers.

My Nkem, my Ife. My forever!

*

My lover is mortal but

Her kiss takes me into an everlasting portal

I stepped out of the bathroom to find her awaiting me

She is precious lying on my bed. Our bed. In all her naked glory.

*

From her face to her toes, she’s perfection.

Her elaborately arched eyebrows, her aristocratic nose

A pair of lips I would love to devour.

Her model neck, those well sculpted breasts

Her flat stomach that all Nigerian roads should be envious of

The trail of hair that would lead to my destruction or give me life

Her marvelously rounded buttocks that I love to squeeze

*

She’s beautiful in all she is.

Hovering over her, I smile then lean in for a kiss.

Here, world, lies my lover.

    A poem for lovers
    For love
For those warm moments in cold mornings
For those wistful moments apart from each other
And the climactic moments when you return to each other’s embrace.

I love this. Nice to know the lesbian chapter of KD is still thriving with good writers. 😀
