‘Michael Sam does not speak for all gay men.’ – says Bisexual NFL Player
A bisexual player in the NFL has attacked Michael Sam, saying he does not “speak for all gay men”.
Out gay NFL hopeful Michael Sam very recently said he knows there are “a lot” of gay players in the NFL, and that a number of players have come out to him as gay, since he did publicly.
He said: “The players who have reached out to me and told me about their sexual orientation, it just means a lot. But I will never say anything about who they are, what teams they are [on]. I’m just saying there’s some famous people, and I’m not the only one.”
Now TMZ reports that it spoke to a bisexual man in the NFL, who said: “As a bisexual man, I just feel like Michael Sam does not speak for all gay men. He has his own opinion … but DON’T say that we don’t have the courage to come out. It’s totally wrong. Just speak for yourself. No one else.
“It’s no one’s business what my sexuality is. You should like me for me … not for who I choose to be with.”
Continuing, he said: “I feel the NFL isn’t ready for people to be open about it. Or the General Managers for that matter.”
Despite those opinions, the player says he believes Sam DID get a fair shot to make a team — “I just don’t think he performed well.”
Michael Sam earlier this month said he is “very confident” that he will be drafted to a professional team.

April 06, 09:37Bottom line is if Michael Sam keeps mouthing off like he did in the interview, he might be seen as bitter gay man that couldn’t find a pro team to play for in the NFL.

This sums it up.
I just feel this NFL guy is looking for relevancy. Since he couldn’t make it in NFL, he decided to try his hands on something else. This is America, where everyone likes a sad story…
