Yea oh Francis because before the break up. I must have been seeing the signs. I am that intuitive and sensitive .i give chances upon chances. While I give the chances, I must have cried a lot. The more you dwell on the investment, you will never move on. You end up losing yourself . I will cry oh. But after crying. Shikina. You become that one thing that just happened. Its that easy for me to move on becuase emotional wahala can drain me. I will not give it such chance .

Heartbreak? Does it feel like you’ve been constantly punched in the gut, have a constant ache in your heart, not wanting to get out of bed ever again, cursing the other party when they come to pick their stuff? I wouldn’t know. I’m just mentioning all the things my exes told or did to me. Funny that we are still friends though. All but one.

The rest of my life I think. Now he’s back, I can’t even trust he will be out the door in a flash well enough to be comfy in the ‘relationship’ anymore.

You are back with someone that broke your heart?.

Somehow, somehow, you didn’t give the impression of someone who could settle in a relationship, not to talk of being heartbroken.
That’s the impression I got of you, since I started reading kitodiaries.

Let’s just say he ticked most of the boxes and I was already planning our future together in my head. He was everything I wanted and still want. Funny enough it was one of those relationships you just fall into without words. IH kept smiling at me from time to time but I chose to ignore hoping oga would receive sense one day……..

It’s not unbelievable. I went for a year and a half before I could say that I was over my ex. There is no prescribed period for the healing of a heart. And there’s no shame in taking your time to get over whoever meant that much to you.

Heartbreak abi… Longest was a couple of years and then some if I’m being honest. Most of what was left was anger though. Anger that he moved on so easy and acting like we never were a thing though we were together for over a year and me i was jejely miserable on my own before he came around acting like Mr perfect and making me think I’d reached my last bus stop.

At least during that time I learnt the valuable lesson that my happiness rests largely in myself. So the next time I was heartbroken I was mostly over it in two weeks.

There’s nothing so painful as when in the event of a breakup, you see the ex acting like you didn’t mean that much to him when your own world has been destroyed. That’s gotta hurt.

Ah…Sometimes it just makes it harder entering the next relationships. Imagine breaking up and the person doesn’t even behave like it meant something, it just breaks your heart all over again..

Two years I think but if I’m honest, way more than that. I couldn’t really know if I had gotten over him until he visited me about 3-4 years later and I offered him my living room couch to lay his head.
I slept peacefully that night, didn’t long for him at all. The next morning, I dropped him off at his sister’s place, went about my work without so much as a thought of him. That was when I knew I had succeeded in flushing him out my system.

I’ve been heartbroken once. More like I broke my own heart. I timed it so it coincided with the christmas holidays so I wouldn’t see him in school and the festivities would help me forget. Little help it did. It took all of three months before my heart stopped doing me somehow.

When you’re six years old and your lover outs you to your family simply telling them you seduced him simply because he is tired of you….. You can’t be heart broken again. So when the new guy dumps you, you’re like ‘okay!!!! So when is HTGAWM returning’

I never knew what pain really felt like, until i experienced love and lost it….years ago. That moment of my life was just pure catastrophe, and it didn’t help that i was in school then.
Took me a year and six months, good friends, and three months supply of Blue Bunny to get over it.

Always having the consciousness that it’s in the nature of man to fail will help one recover faster from broken relationships. One shouldn’t expect much from others even while giving much. Such mindset will hardly get depressed.
