Sunshine

Sunshine

You came into my life like a mustard seed

You grew each passing day

You radiate so much happiness that is contagious

You glow greatness like a dazzling diamond

You make me feel complete yet imperfect without you

You shine like the morning star

Your smile glitters like the sunshine

Little wonder I call you sunshine

Your flaws help me to grow

You teach me unconsciously

You make me tough yet affectionate

You make me a better man

You gave me bliss long lost

You helped my dying soul

You make me have a reason

You are one in a billion

You captured my heart in a way that is unexplainable

You grease my soul with joy unspeakable

You give me happiness indispensable

You make me smile beyond believable

Saying I love you might bore

But I must have said it a thousand times

Every time I say it, I mean it

For it comes from the deepest part of my heart

Smile babe, smile

Glow babe, glow

Laugh babe, laugh

With you, it’s unquestionable.

I often wonder what it’d be like to have in my life someone that represents to me this kind of complete beauty that all these love poems talk about. Between society’s disapproval of gay relationships and gay men’s general aversion to commitment, I doubt I’ll ever find it.

    Lovely poem, Jay.

Lovely poem Jay. Are you experiencing all this love glow?
@Mandy it’s scarce doesn’t make it not available. Still hoping though.
