TO BE GAY
To be gay is not a wound
it is not a sore to be covered
or a shrine of the afflicted
to be looked upon with pity
it is not a strange anomaly
to be explained for validation
it is the difference that gives
a double heart of empathy
and a sense of belonging
not by blood but by heart
To be gay is to be human
without pomp and spectacle
it does not deny of pride
it is a march towards truth
with purpose and dignity

Great poem on gay pride, jodek.
