You saw ‘Magic Mike’…Get Ready for ‘Magic Michelle’
A sneak peak has been released on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and it includes a trailer to an all-female remake of Magic Mike, starring none other than Ellen herself and also — surprise, surprise — Oprah Winfrey.
The parody was in response to the recent backlash towards film reboots such as Ghostbusters and Ocean’s Eleven that have an all-female cast.
With Ellen as the lead character, Magic Michelle, the reboot features other strippers including Olivia Munn who plays Honeydew, Jenna Dewan Tatum (Channing Tatum’s wife in real life) who plays Peppermint and Chrissy Teigan who plays Linda Peterson.
A surprise towards the end of the clip reveals that Oprah is joining girl group as well, who then dropped to the ground with a split.
‘This fall, Hilary’s not the only one bringing women to the polls (poles),’ says the trailer.
