“If he wants to wear a dress…Awesome.” Actor Brian Austin Green defends son’s attire
Beverly Hills 90210 actor Brian Austin Green just won a lot of points in our book.
In an interview with Hollywood Pipeline, Green defended his and Megan Fox’s 4-year-old son’s clothing choices.
The reason for this exchange?
In July, Fox posted an Instagram of various Polaroid pictures. One of them showed their son Noah in an Elsa dress and, predictably, led to rude criticism.
In the interview, which you can watch below, Green says he doesn’t care what people think or say.
“He’s 4 and if he wants to wear it, then he wears it,” he commented in no uncertain terms. “It’s his life. They’re not my clothes. Obviously I don’t wear the nice stuff. I’m wearing shorts and a T-shirt.”
He thinks kids should be allowed to be themselves and express themselves how they want to.
“I feel like at 4 or 5, that’s a time when he should be having fun. He’s not harming anyone wearing a dress. So, if he wants to wear a dress… Awesome. Good on him.”
This is also a common theme between the parents. Previously, Megan Fox also addressed the importance of self-expression.
“I grew up in a Pentecostal household. It’s Southern Christian… The women in the church are only allowed to wear pants, you can’t wear dresses, you can’t wear make-up or jewelry, so it’s a really sort of oppressive environment to grow up in,” she explained on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
“But I sort of lean left of that now… Noah wears dresses. So, there are no rules. You can be whatever you want to be in my house.”

September 13, 15:47I don’t think hypocritical parents operate like that. No parent who’s falsely open minded would proudly own his child’s cross dressing, not even with the excuse that he’s just “a small boy”. And given that both Megan and Brian have been open about their acceptance of their son’s cross dressing, you get the impression that they’re for real. Any parent that’s not accepting wouldn’t be outspoken about accepting it, especially when he’s celebrity.

September 13, 15:21I used to cross dress as a kid. I loved wearing my sister’s clothes and shoes. Unfortunately I couldn’t complete the look with makeup seeing that my family is deeperlife-ish.
However I think I’m grateful my family succeeded in ridiculing me out of it.
I still love makeup a lot and i tie my mum’s gele, often practicing on my head, and my Dad would catch me and be like, “Iwo omo yii…”. (You this boy!).
But I don’t fancy female clothes as much anymore. Maybe it’s because of my masculine, unsexy, curveless, rectangular body anatomy; maybe it’s because I have an overwhelming fear of being odd; maybe it’s because we actually outgrow these things?
P.S. I just watched TIERs’ Hell or High water yesterday night. Best thing I’ve watched in some years… Really fantastic.
