“I Didn’t Know What A Top Or Bottom Was.” Porn Star DeAngelo Jackson Talks About Losing His Virginity On Camera

DeAngelo Jackson made history when he became the first Black adult film entertainer to win the Best Actor award at the 2020 GayVN Awards, the show that is often dubbed the ‘Oscars of Gay Porn.’ And despite a rough year that mandated people the world over to stay at home and socially-distance, the porn star was able to prove that he’s one of the hottest guys working in the industry when he won the GayVN Performer of the Year in January.

Based in Atlanta, Jackson talked with The Gay Goodies’ Mark Peikert, showing an almost startlingly shy and humble aspect of his personality that one wouldn’t associate with someone this big in the entertainment industry.

It is an interview that reveals a lot of interesting details about Jackson’s life, such as the part about how he lost his virginity on camera.

When Peikert asked him about how he got started in porn, he shared that he was “twenty-one, twenty-two [years old]” back then, and that it was something he remembered “very vividly.”

“I was in Orlando, this hotel room. It was for Flavaworks,” he said. “And the reason why I remember so vividly is because that was the first time I had ever had anything… I lost my virginity on camera. I didn’t know what a top, bottom, versatile (was). I didn’t know any of that stuff.”

A visibly-surprised Peikert of course followed up with: “What was the thought process that led to you deciding to lose your virginity on camera?”

Jackson said, “Leading up to that, I’d always been so open with my body, and just very comfortable and confident, and I thought to myself, ‘Oh this will be easy.’ You know, I didn’t really comprehend as far as… I knew there was going to be sex involved. But I didn’t really understand top, bottom – you know, oral, eating ass, none of that. I mean, I had seen it, but, in my mind, I don’t know, it was easy, quick money.”

He mentioned that he was a “broke college student” when the opportunity to do porn came along, and that “it was traumatizing at first, but me being a Gemini, I can adapt to things pretty quickly.”

To Peikert’s question on what made him decide to do porn full-time and pursue it as a career, he said, “I kinda took off. I started doing scene after scene after scene, and the money was quick and easy. The more I did it, the easier it became.”

He added, “I was traveling all around the world, doing live sex shows, and it was just really, really exciting. And I think I just really got caught up into it. Not to the point where, you know, I got wrapped up in any kind of drugs or substance abuse. Although I could have gone that way, if you aren’t ready for it, if you’re so young to the point where, you know, you get caught up in some things that you just can’t come back from. But I was blessed, I was lucky enough to have been surrounded by some people who didn’t take advantage of me. And for me kinda having these instincts of ‘This doesn’t seem right, so let me not do that.’ So, it just took off, and you know, twelve years later, here I am.”

When he was asked if he responds to Direct Messages from fans, Jackson said no, before going on to explain that “it depends on what they say.”

He said, “A lot of guys feel entitled just to say anything to you because you’re so open and out there, and because you’re a porn star. They feel entitled to tell you anything or to show you anything. And for me, I don’t look at most DMs. I don’t. Someone says, ‘I’m a huge fan’, I always respond to that. And I’m very, very grateful for anyone just showing appreciation and showing love, without the lust behind it so much.”

However, he clarifies that this kind of attention “comes with the territory. I’m not complaining. I never respond rudely. I just don’t respond most of the time.”

Watched the whole interview. He also said he didn’t know how to masturbate until he was 14. Like wow. Dude is quite the late bloomer who then bloomed big time. Lol.
And I like his reserved demeanor. He’s so soft spoken and humble. This one is the kind of bf who, once you get over the fact that he has sex for a living, you just know you can be with him and he won’t bring any unnecessary drama to you.

Although, I have to say, he’s a bit boring in his scenes.
