Denrele Says He’ll Divorce His Wife if She Tries To Change Him

Last year, TV personality Denrele Edun talked about the imminence of his getting married, and by so doing, had fans anticipating the D-day. Fast-forward to 2016, and fans haven’t heard wedding bells. In a chat with Punch, the media personality says the wedding will still take place.

“I will still get married, honestly,” he said. “I was supposed to get married last year and I did not plan to publicise the whole affair. I intended to tell people few days to the day of the wedding so that they would come and find out who I was getting married to. But somehow, the news leaked and there was too much media hype around it.

“At a point, it began to look as if I fabricated the story to be in the news but it was the real deal for me. I am trying to pursue the matter but I am not going to say when it would happen. When it is time, people would get the invite but I would not blab. I am going to get married in Nigeria because I have realised over time that I am loved by all. I would not do a strictly VIP crowd because I would invite everybody who is interested in coming, they should come and watch me get married.”

Although he did not mention his fiancée’s name, the eccentric entertainer said his woman is not in the entertainment industry.

“My fiancée is not in the entertainment industry. She used to be in the industry but quit because she could not come to terms with the industry so she decided to do a regular 9-5 job. Relationship is all about communication, if anyone tries to change who I am, I would send the person back to her family house and collect my bride price back. It cannot happen because at the end of the day, we would be hungry at home and start looking at ourselves. Marriage would not change me. I know that there is that factor of staying true to one person which I am working on. I am getting there,” he said.

        Absolutely nothing ??

Denrenle getting married is like me saying I’ll grow a pair of balls.

Then again, anything is possible. #BruceJenner

On another note, I don’t get why they feel the need to keep giving these ridiculous and extremely retarded interviews. *sigh*

I’m sorry but I can’t be politically correct about this. This reads like a bunch of baloney to me. Denrele should know better than to still be yapping up and down about this his marriage. More than half of Nigerians don’t believe him anyway. Oga, if you want to marry, marry. I just don’t understand why you have to keep talking to us abourrit.

Sigh … I guess all the pressure and speculation is getting to the poor boy … He’s slowly cracking under the pressure and feeling the need to tell a plausible story … Sigh …

Hmm…I just hope he isn’t biting into the pressure dough. I can’t imagine Denrele married for the love of me (such comical imagination), but it’s all good.
He shouldn’t invite everyone o, these yeye Nigerians do not deserve one samosa from him!
Can’t wait to see the princess he’d be wedded to though.

Who will be doing his hair and make up for the event? Will it be separate from his wife’s! Would he be wearing his 6inches? So much to ask! Well, goodluck to him (in Wendy William’s voice)

But wait o, which is used for the guy? Fiance or fiancee? I am hoping the reporter unknowingly misspelled what Denrele pronounced in d assumption that he wud be wedding a lady. Won’t it be delightful to have our 1st Nigerian Celebrity Gay Marriage *claps gleefully*

Sister Denrele… if you want to get married, get married. If you don’t want to, then don’t. Stop looking at our faces to do this kind of rubbish. *back to my yoga session*

      Would he?
Consider this: A guy who could kill for the headlines and a spot on the tabloids and blogs would cut his hair and put on a suit on his wedding day.

      Wait a second, THAT’S NEWS!!!

But truth be told… Denrele is who he is: Nigeria’s Kim Kardashian. If a hair strand was missing from his weaves, someone would be there to report it. Most definitely.
