‘Deep Down We All Love One Another.’ Ellen DeGeneres Accepts the People’s Choice Humanitarian Award With Hilarious, Moving Speech
At the recent People’s Choice Awards, Ellen DeGeneres was given the prize for Favorite Humanitarian, and her speech demonstrated exactly why she earned it. Ellen’s words were classy, heartfelt, and, of course, hysterical at all the right times. “I certainly didn’t set out to win any of the many, many, many, many awards I have received over the past years, but I have to say it’s a little strange to actually get an award for being nice and generous and kind, which is what we’re all supposed to do with one another. That’s the point of being a human,” Ellen said as she addressed the very appreciative crowd.
And of course, in true Ellen form, she ended on an uplifting note, sharing a picture of a shirtless Chris Hemsworth to bring everyone happiness. Ellen, you are all the joy we need, although this shirtless photo of Chris Hemsworth doesn’t hurt. Watch Ellen’s speech right here:
