Imagine A World Where Beyoncé Likes Girls
A Beyoncé social media comment (clearly photoshopped) recently surfaced on Instagram. It appeared to be the Queen Bey’s response of appreciation for the recognition GLAAD gave her when she and her husband Jay Z were given the Vanguard Award at the 30th annual GLAAD Media Awards which was held on Thursday, March 28.
In the comment, the Formation hitmaker, who in her acceptance speech talked about losing a gay uncle to HIV and encouraged LGBT people to live true to themselves, is seen saying: “I would like to take this moment to tell the world something I’ve held deep inside for so long, but that I want to be open and open and proud about. I am bisexual…”
The post was made on the instagram account of Beyoncé superfan, @thephilipmicah, and the commenters expressed reactions that are just so precious. Check on them.
This post makes me wonder: if Beyoncé were to come out as someone who likes girls too, how do you imagine that will impact the LGBT movement in the world?
