‘Noah’s Arc’ is set to return for its 15th Anniversary with a Reunion Special

The focus of an All Black Lives Matter march on Sunday was on the Black LGBTQ community, and the celebs came out to support. Seen among the protesters were Megan Thee Stallion, Common and Tiffany Haddish.

Also spotted in the crowd were the cast members of the groundbreaking Black gay TV series, Noah’s Arc, and they appeared to be filming at the march. Darryl Stephens (who played Noah), Jensen Atwood (who played Wade) and Rodney Chester (who played Alex) were spotted carrying signs and chanting with protesters while multiple cameras were rolling.

According to the fan who saw them, the actors were “trying to be incognito, but they were clearly being directed and moved around as though they were shooting something.”

The actors also posed for pics, although they were tight-lipped when asked if they were filming new episodes.

However, days later, Deadline has confirmed that the show will be back for a 15th anniversary virtual reunion special, which will stream on July 5 on the creator, Patrick-Ian Polk Entertainment’s Facebook and YouTube pages.

In addition to Stephens, Atwood and Chester, other original cast members, Doug Spearman (who played Chance) and Christian Vincent (who played Ricky) are set to return for the reunion titled Noah’s Arc: The ‘Rona Chronicles, which speaks to the current landscape. The episode will be followed by a live Q&A with Queer Eye’s Karamo Brown.

The series originally aired for two seasons on Logo from 2005-2007 and made history as the first American TV series that featured all-Black and gay cast of characters. Set in Los Angeles, the series followed a group of friends navigating the gay dating scene. The series wrapped with the movie Noah’s Arc: Jumping the Broom, which won a GLAAD Media Award. After 10 years, the reunion episode, written and directed by Polk, finds Noah and company in the middle of a worldwide public health crisis and global social justice movement.

“Not a day goes by that I don’t get messages, tweets, DMs and emails from the huge Noah’s Arc fanbase saying how much they love and miss the show and begging for a reboot,” said Polk. “While we’ve all struggled to stay sane during these stressful and trying times, the cast and I wanted to do something special to show our appreciation for all the love we continue to receive from the fans.”
