Ugandan Scientists Agree: Homosexuality Is Natural

A group of Ugandan scientists have endorsed a study showing being gay is natural.

The study, Diversity in Sexuality: Implications for Policy in Africa, was put together by the Academy of Science of South Africa, and endorsed by Ugandan National Academy of Sciences.

Uganda’s infamous anti-gay laws were justified with a study which Ugandan MPs claimed stated: “Homosexuality is not a disease but merely an abnormal behaviour which may be learned through experiences in life. In every society, there is a small number of people with homosexuality tendencies.

“The practice needs regulation like any other human behaviour especially to protect the vulnerable. There is need for further studies to address sexuality in the African context.”

It was later found that the study claimed no such thing, and the politicians had been deliberately highlighting phrases which already suited their views.

Diversity in Sexuality is notable as the first pro-gay study conducted by black African scientists, which may help fight the idea that gay people are a result of Western, white influence.

It states: “There is now a wide global consensus among scientists that homosexuality is a normal and natural variation of human sexuality without any inherently detrimental health consequences.

“In this context governments have a duty to consider scientific perspectives and draw on the most current scientific knowledge when creating policy and enacting laws.”

Uganda has been in the spotlight for its harsh treatment of LGBT people for many years.

Finally, some good news. It’ll take about a hundred years to convince Nigerian government that it’s natural.

Meanwhile in Nigeria, some “scientist” uses 2 magnets to prove that like terms don’t “attract”. Therefore, homosexuality is unnatural

Hahahahahahahaa!!! I saw that report, saw the smug face of the ‘scientist’ and I shook at his sheer idiocy.

I wonder what makes grains of garri to “attract”, form a ball to be swallowed. Some people can create their “tiny”/myopic views to support whatever they believe, or have been taught.

I’m really tryna figure out the error. I’m guessing they meant the military parade (as a form of civil protest). Like in speaking up for the (oppressed) weak.

    Or, could I be wrong??

“The practice needs regulation like any other human behaviour especially to protect the vulnerable. There is need for further studies to address sexuality in the African context.”

First, ….other human behaviour …… what’s the human behaviour been referred to? Sexual behaviour? Probably yes. I guess sexual behaviours include Heterosexual behaviour, Homosexual behaviour, Bisexual behaviour, Female Prostitution Patronage, Beastality, and even Celibacy!!! I guess all these have to be regulated to protect “THE VULNERABLE”

Secondly, need for further studies to address sexuality in the AFRICAN context. Since when did the continent started doing studies/research. And of all studies, sexuality studies in the African context. Well, that’s a first. We have so many problems and yet all we put up for aburu sexuality studies in the African context. I wonder if all our leaders do everything and act in the so called African context.

    Regards to Dennis and PP.
    Have a lovely weekend dear.
