Would You Watch The Videos Of A Dead Porn Star?
The porn site, Queer Me Now, recently broke the news that Cuban adult film actor and body builder, Dairo Jovelar Ruiz, who went by the stage name Ridder Rivera (pictured above), was found dead on Thursday, August 27 in Barcelona.
The 33-year-old model and body builder was reportedly found dead, lying on a bed in “a room on Villarroel Street” in Barcelona, and was confirmed by a relative, who received notice of death in Havana on Friday, August 28.
The Spanish police are reportedly investigating the death because of the signs of blows that were allegedly found on his back.
Fans of the actor have received the news with shock, with reactions varying from speculation as to the nature of his death and others expressing concern as to the premature deaths that plague the gay porn industry.
A fan tweeted this: “R.I.P. but do we watch his porn movies anymore? Or will it be inappropriate?”
And moments later, during a conversation with a friend, he expressed the same reservation, saying, “I can never wank to his videos again because it’ll just feel plain perverted.”
This same reservation came up when George Floyd was killed and it was discovered that he was an adult film actor; fans were all over his videos on PornHub and this caused an outrage, with people condemning any pleasure gotten from watching the dead man’s videos as perversion.
But is it really?
Is there anything wrong with watching and enjoying the videos of a dead porn star?

September 13, 08:25Plis dear, it’s his art.
It’s like saying we’d never rewatch a Chadwick Boseman movie because he’s dead. Or rewatch Game of Thrones because Diana Rigg is dead.
Porn is art.
Watching their art keeps their memories alive.
Simple!

September 13, 21:39Left for me, I think the legacy of a dead porn star is helping the living wank till ejaculation. It’s only a legend that could have such control over people from six feet below ???

March 11, 06:48Agreed. He was a serious entertainer. His work should be celebrated like any other deceased professional artist. We know of him through porn…the question/initial reaction is valid but take a beat here. I think it only feels “creepy” if you can’t see him as a full person and you have unresolved “sex is sinful” thoughts to begin with. Watching his videos is a personal decision; but I think his memory can be a source of comfort, strength, and love if you let it be.

September 14, 10:34I guess to me it depends on how good of an actor the person was.
If their movies took me to the pinnacle of my arousal then why not, I’d still watch it.
However if they were just “meh” actors, I’d just quit watching for their art to slowly fade away with their memory in my minds.
I however sort of get that feelings of necrophilia a lot of people have when it comes to this topic.
