Emilia Clarke wants to #FreeThePenis, demands for more male nudity on ‘Game of Thrones’
Fans of Game of Thrones aren’t the only ones wishing for more full frontal male nudity on the show. Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen aka Mama Dragon on the fantasy drama series, spoke out about the unequal opportunity given to the male anatomy during her appearance on Conan.
Speaking to Conan O’Brien, she said, “There’s plenty of female nudity, myself included, and I feel like… I think we should get some equal male nudity and female nudity.”
And Clarke isn’t talking about male butts, which we have seen aplenty on the show. She wants to ‘free the penis.’
Previously, Clarke spoke about the issue to Glamour magazine, and quipped that she’d like to have ‘close-ups of all the boys’ penises.’
Clarke then shared with O’Brien that her mother had told her off after knowing that she has come out publicly supporting the notion, to which he joked that his mother would tell him to stop talking about ‘sensitive’ topics on television too:
‘My mother still has control over me. She could say, “Oh I don’t like that at all.” And I go, “Uhhh OK, won’t happen again.” Which is everything I do on television,’ he said.
