Pamela Adie Is Set To Release New LGBT Documentary ‘Under The Rainbow’ In Nigeria

The Equality Hub has released the teaser of its upcoming feature documentary film, Under The Rainbow. In the first of its kind ever released in Nigeria, lesbian activist, Pamela Adie, narrates her journey of self-discovery in a powerful story of love, rejection, loss, and triumph set against the backdrop of a deeply homophobic society.

Driven by the findings of a recent study in which 83% of Nigerians say they would reject a family member who is LGBT, and believe that LGBT people should not have access to public services like education and healthcare, Under The Rainbow aims to increase visibility and create a more positive perception of LGBT Nigerians.

Under The Rainbow tells the coming out and life story of Pamela Adie, shot on location in Lagos State. It features guest contributors such as film director, Adeola Osokunjo, Red Media’s Chude Jideonwo, Olumide Makanjuola, and Ade Balogun, and Ese Walter.

Under The Rainbow was written, directed, and produced by Pamela Adie, who serves as the Executive Director at The Equality Hub.
