KITO DIARIES PRIZE FOR WRITING: THE DEMONS YOU NAME

KITO DIARIES PRIZE FOR WRITING: THE DEMONS YOU NAME

Light a candle for the dreams broken

On the heavy brow of a judgmental society.

Say a prayer for the souls disembodied

In the toxic haze of social uniformity.

Gather blue roses for the lovers who mourn,

Whirlwinds of true passion suppressed

By ironworks of religion and tradition.

Seek justice for the demons of hate

Born when love and freedom

Were buried alive in graves of asphalt and rubber,

Because Ade kissed a boy.
