‘Caitlyn Jenner Is Judging Gay People.’ Ellen DeGeneres To Howard Stern

When Caitlyn Jenner appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show last week, Ellen’s reactions were mixed, especially in response to Jenner’s views on same-sex marriage. Calling herself a “traditionalist,” Jenner admitted how she originally “was not for it,” but said that her views have since changed.caitlynellen-619-386

“I think, like a lot of people on this issue, I have really changed my thinking here to, ‘I don’t ever want to stand in front of anybody’s happiness.’ That’s not my job, okay?” Jenner told Ellen. “If that word ‘marriage’ is really, really that important to you, I can go with it.”

But that word is important to the talk show host, who is married to actress Portia di Rossi and famously told then-presidential nominee John McCain when he appeared on her show during the 2008 presidential election, “Someday I hope it won’t be called a contract, it’ll be called ‘marriage.'”

Ellen appeared on Howard Stern’s radio show on Tuesday and discussed her mixed feelings regarding the interview with Jenner, who came out in April as transgender. “I said, ‘You’re wanting people to understand and accept you — this is like, really confusing to people. And you still have a judgment about gay people and marriage,” DeGeneres said. “She goes, ‘Well if the word marriage is that important.’ It is. That’s the word. We want the same thing.”

I don’t blame Caitlyn Jenner joor. Her reservations have been observed constantly here on KD, when KDians will, with ever so much political correctness, say, ‘Um, I don’t understand how someone will want to be a transgender, but if that’s what makes you happy, then good for you.’ (Khaleesi, I’m looking at you). So if gay people can hold such views about the transgender community, Caitlyn should be allowed to have her reservations about gay marriage. After all, it’s become clear that the LGBTIQ community may be fighting for world tolerance, but at the end of the day, all the alphabets in that acronym stand separate from each other.

After reading Mandy’s comment, I don’t know what to say anymore. Thats why I normally comment before reading so my comment won’t be biased. I was just about to pull out blazzing guns on her until I saw that we as an LGBT community aren’t really united. We fight and judge each other every time even though we’re supposed to be the ones who understand. Up until recently, I use to judge bisexuals, although I’ve stopped to a large extent, I still have my reservations about them, transgender people too. So you see, judging is a two way street, the way you’re free to judge people, others are free to judge you too and when that happens, don’t cry “foul”.
I’m not surprised by Jenner’s comment though, he was never gay, he was married twice to women. His own transgender is quite different because most trans people I’ve seen are gay, so when they transition they still date men. But Jenner is still attracted to women, so she’s now a lesbian. From straight man to lesbian woman. Its all very confusing, and one would think her new found lesbian status would make her more accepting, but Na.
    Anyway, whatever .

I stopped becoming a fan of Caitlyn after I saw the first few episodes of I Am Cait, not only is that show a terrible bore, but it doesn’t portray her in a good light. She’s barely articulate, still sounds and walks like a man, and to be honest her plastic surgery looks botched .

She’s entitled to her opinion about gay issues especially gay marriage, there are gay guys that don’t believe in it as there are also straight folks who are strictly monogamous, so to each his own

I thought I was the only one who noticed the plastic surgery. Especially the cheeks, it looks like an embalmed corpse.

Well @max… Good say but the thing is Cat Jenner to me is a tad confused on what she should call herself. Truth is she’s not a lesbian. Bisexual maybe but definitely not just a lesbian. If I can remember right, in one of the episodes of her show she was so troubled that her male friends won’t see her the way she ought to be see now she has transitioned “a woman”. In another he talked about wishing he could be asked out on a date and by so doing made to feel like a women or something like that.
I agree with @Mandy’s comment. I mean we are a community but yet in this so called community there is still segregation. We all preach the same thing and yet so different in so many other. Cat Jenner is still getting a hang of how things are and if you guys follow KUWTK he or she back when she was still a dude was not afraid to air his thoughts and have you seen the trans-women he hangs with. Biko this who him/she thing is messing with my head.
