Issa Rae’s New Comedy About a Bisexual Black Man Is Coming to HBO

Insecure creator and star Issa Rae will be producing two more shows with HBO, including a show about a bisexual black man’s dating life, according to Deadline.

Rae and former Daily Show writer Travon Free will collaborate on Him or Her, a single camera half-hour show that chronicles the amorous pursuits of a bisexual black man. Rae will executive produce.

Alongside that comedy, Rae will also executive produce Sweet Life, about well-off teens growing up in Windsor Hills, a monied black community in Los Angeles. She’s also currently working on season 3 of her hit HBO show, Insecure.

Him or Her will be the first show to center on a black queer man since Noah’s Arc, which ended its run in 2006 after two seasons.
