THE WINNERS OF THE ANNIVERSARY WRITING COMPETITION ARE…

For this competition, there a lot of submissions entries that told the story of remembered pain, aches and never forgotten hurts. There is an undisputed power in storytelling, and if this exercise has given any lesson, it is that we have NOY forgotten the day President Goodluck Jonathan handed us his legacy of hate, discrimination and the legalization of antigay violence.

It was something of an emotional task to go through these stories to come up with the winning entries.

Some of them made us wish that the prize money included more than just two people, but it is unfortunate that there can only be two.

The winning entries are:

DAMNED IF YOU DO, DAMNED IF YOU DON’T by Mitch, and

THE TRUTHS THAT DON’T SET YOU FREE by Jane.

Next DAMNED IF YOU DO, DAMNED IF YOU DON'T
