Will & Grace Reboot Officially In the Works

Will & Grace Reboot Officially In the Works

NBC is in talks to revive Will & Grace with the original stars and creators after the success of an election special that served as a mini-comeback for the beloved sitcom.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, no deals have been made with Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Sean Hayes, and Megan Mullally or creators David Kohan and Max Mutchnick. NBC is hoping for a 10-episode limited series, but the peacock network could be outbid for the Universal Television property by other network studios or by the likes of reboot-happy Netflix.

Though things are still very much in the early stages, the stars have frequently expressed their willingness to bring the old gang back together again. In an earlier interview with THR following their election special, McCormarck said that he’s “sure” everyone would be “open to talking about” a revival.  Messing, expressing doubt that they could ever return to network TV, added that streaming platforms could give them a “fun, fresh opportunity” to “be really, really naughty!”

This is good. Now, if they’d also reboot Friends and Desperate Housewives, the world might just be a much better place. 😀

Abeg Desperate Housewives should remain unrebooted. I don’t mind a Friends reboot though, even though i know Jennifer Aniston for one would never go for it.
