A Story Of The Boys I’ve Loved
I have never been in love
Once I wore the skin of a boy
I swallowed his tongue whole
I made a sweater of him and felt warm
Then he took his skin and made me vomit his tongue
The boy has since left.
There was a boy, he lived in an estate
I bathed in his blood, his long hands scrubbing my back
In the evening, when we met
His shadow would cover me
And I’d be blind to everything else
He left in a hurry a month later
I wrote poetry for him, my ink were tears
And I wrote about his skin and his tongue
I’d go to the hills and listen to the music in the winds as they graze my face
And I’d think about him
Once I went to the hills and I carved a heart without a beat
It won’t break, this heart
My sister thinks he’s a girl
But my friends know he’s a boy
I have never been in love
But I have loved boys
