“I Have A Good Laugh Over These Things.” Denrele Edun claps back at trolls who call him “Gay” like it’s an insult

The twenty-first century is about to move on into 2019, and some Nigerians still think calling someone “gay” is an insult.

Well, Denrele Edun has set out to disabuse such homophobes of that idea.

The media personality, on Christmas day, posted on his instagram a series of stunning photos of him clad in a red dress and floating in a bathtub filled with water. They were beautiful photos that were raking in likes and comments. Among the commenters was a troll who felt like (s)he ought to remind Denrele that he is “gay as fuck”.

“Very, very gay AF,” the troll posted, to which Denrele retorted: “And you just realized this? You are so 2000 and late. It was all over the news. #NowDancingMyGayAFDance”

Edun also took to his profile, on Boxing Day, to make a more elaborate post chastising the trolls who relentlessly sling insults at him on his social media accounts, reminding them that he has “a good laugh over these things” and that he is “always at a good place” with himself.

“I HAVE A CORRECT PEACE OF MIND! Try that sometime,” he finishes off his clapback.

One Nigerian celebrity that inspires me. I’ve been picking bits and pieces over the years, pruning myself, getting ready.

    I love Denrele ❤

Apparently he’s helped so many celebrities come up yet none of them uses their spotlight to highlight him, none of them denounces the shit he gets. And you say these heterosexuals are okay?
