Chris Pratt Doesn’t Mind Men Being Objectified

Game Of Thrones actor, Kit Harrington and hottie Math teacher, Pietro Boselli have been vocal about their detestation for the perception of them as sex symbols.

But Jurassic World star Chris Pratt thinks both men and women should enjoy being treated like pieces of meat. Asked by Radio 4’s Front Row whether his freshly acquired abs and biceps have opened up new doors for him, the actor responded: “A huge part of how my career has shifted is based on the way that I look, on the way that I’ve shaped my body to look.”

But doesn’t he feel objectified? “Totally. I think it’s OK, I don’t feel appalled by it. I think it’s appalling that for a long time only women were objectified, but I think if we really want to advocate for equality, it’s important to even things out…. At the end of the day, our bodies are objects. For years people have been putting on masks, putting on costumes, and this is essentially a costume that I took a great deal of effort to put on.”

Fortunately, it doesn’t take quite as much effort for him to take his shirt off.

Lol. One day, you’ll miss a good thing in a guy, Max, simply because he’s heavier than you.

I think sexual objectification of people is just wrong on many different levels. I have my reasons!

I loved him when he was fat, still love him now that he’s trim. Plus he said during his Men’s Health interview that he might go back to being fat. He’s still meaty now. Even though all that meat is carefully proportioned now

I want to have his kind of body from 2yrs ago when the shaping and trimming started to take effect. 6pack abs are sooo not my thing but neither is being fat slob either. Staying perfectly in the middle is just what i like.

I know someone would be giving a stern warning shortly after that last paragraph *side eyeing Keredim*

Never understood where Kit Harrington was coming from with the whole sexual objectification thing. Sure its true, he is objectified, but ummm he should be so lucky, as much as he wouldn’t wanna admit it, his looks are a huge part of whats made him a success so far. If he didn’t look like he did, he wouldn’t get all the attention he gets which equals to money. Same goes with Pietro, sure he is objectified, and from that attention that he gets, he has secured a modeling contract. So whats the problem here. I am honestly not seeing it.

So sure you might have talent, but your looks and how the public perceives you is a huge part of their success, so stop whining abeg. Worse things could be happening, All they sound like is “oh dear world pls pity me i am hot”.

Hahahaha @that last comment. I swear I really don’t get it. Yes you’re hot and in showbiz so don’t kid yourself that they both don’t go hand in hand. In Hollywood, talent can only take you too far when the people want a hot actor who can slay monsters with his shirt torn and ribbed abs on full display.
If you’re hot, learn to take the compliments in stride and get on with your job.

Kudos to Chris Platt. I love the direction his career is going and absolutely love the way he is riding the success.
