Andrew Garfield and Ryan Reynolds lock lips at the Golden Globes

Ryan Reynolds didn’t win a Golden Globe for his performance as Deadpool, but he seems to be taking it pretty well. He had been nominated for the award for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy for his turn as the pansexual superhero.

However, at the Globes on Sunday night, Ryan Gosling clinched the award for his role in La La Land.

The Deadpool star didn’t seem too fussed about the incident, finding some comfort in former Spider-Man Andrew Garfield.

As Gosling walked to the stage, a camera captured the two actors sharing a passionate kiss in the front row.

In his speech, Gosling – who did not appear to notice the kiss – joked: “This isn’t the first time I’ve been mistaken for Ryan Reynolds but I understand. Ryan, obviously there’s been some kind of mistake that I’m up here.”

Comic book fans pointed out that the characters portrayed by Garfield and Reynolds have been romantically linked before, with fans using the nickname ‘Spideypool’ to refer to the pairing.q8V16fk (1)

Reynolds recently hinted that major US film studios avoid putting gay characters in blockbusters due to fears of alienating overseas audiences. The actor suggested there would not be much resistance to giving the character gay sex scenes in the upcoming sequel – because the film was already banned in China over its vulgar content.

Asked about fears that a gay storyline could alienate overseas audiences, Reynolds replied: “That’s not really a problem for us, because we were banned in China. We were rated ‘fuck you!’ in China. I think [his interest in men] could be played up more. He’s an outsider in every way, shape, and form.”

I love Ryan! So open and care free…..I was quite disappointed that deadpool’s complex sexuality was pushed aside for a strong monogamous heterosexual relationship in the movie. Hopefully they redeem their ways in part 2.

I guess this kiss was just for them fans. folks who have been waiting for long…. lol! Who can tell

I’m angry. Totally vexed. I’m annoyed. Horribly torn.

Why wasn’t it me?! Garfield has enjoyed free, amazing and sumptuous lips for doing nothing! Absolutely nothing! ???

I know right. The few homosexual couples we see even though their proportion to heterosexual couples is like 99:1, we still don’t need to see that 1/100. They’re trying to shove it down our throats. Even on the media, for example empire has only one gay character and like 10 main characte not gay yet they are trying to shove that 1 character down our throats but the large percentage of heterosexual representation is not being shoved down our throats. I really love your logic. You must feel so smart.
