HEALTH CENTRE: Lubes And Sex

When it comes to lubes, I like to consider myself a sort of connoisseur because I’ve been using them since I became sexually active. Two things I learned the hard (literally hard, get it?) way are:

1. Do not use water-based lube for backdoor play. Yes, I know that it’s the kind of lube you find very easily out there, but it dries too fast during anal sex, and it’s either you are reapplying it too often or you’re no longer enjoying it, both situations which results in the killing of the mood.

2. Not all lubes are edible. This sounds like something that’d be very obvious, but if I’m any example, then it’s obvious not everyone knows this, because I once nearly poisoned myself. Imagine dying because you sucked poisonous dick, and when you get to heaven and they ask you what killed you, you’ll be like, “First of all, Your Honor, I’m a freak bitch.”

Now that you’ve learned the key things, let me briefly touch on the types of lube.

There are majorly three types of lubes. There are rumors of a fourth type, but just like people that are saying I ate their ass, it’s all a rumor. The three types are:

1. Water-Based Lube: This type is mostly edible. It is also great for heterosexual sex because the female body will respond by producing natural moisture too.

2. Oil-Based Lube: This lube is for those of us with a Nuru massage kink (so basically, every sex-having person). It’s greasy. It’s sexy. You don’t have to reapply as often. BUT it is not compatible with latex condoms.

3. Uber Lube aka Silicon Lube: This is a lube for the people that have sexual intercourse (they don’t fuck). They have post-coital release (they don’t nut). It is the Otedola of Lubricants. This is the OG of anal sex and shower sex lubrication. Try not to use this with your silicone-based toys often though, as it can degrade them, making them an easy cause of infection, because bacteria will see plenty nook and cranny to hide. There are a number of silicone lube brands out there, but Uber Lube is KING for me! You can check them out on Amazon or their official website.

I included a link of my reviews of a few water-based lubes I’ve used: you can click HERE for Fiesta Intim Gel, and HERE for KY Jelly. This is all for more information.

Play safe always, guys.

I’ve never liked water base lubes and never understood wht it was always marketed by these NGOs for gay men to use during anal sex. It never just worked for me. Silicone base is still the best, glad people are catching on, cause I’ve been saying this and people always thought i was weird.

Exactly what I was about to ask.
Please details of silicon based lubricants would be appreciated.

I’m really happy this discussion came up today.
I’ve personally made some bad lube choices and having to learn the hard way isn’t nice when we have such an amazing platform as kitodiaries. GREAT JOB GUYS.

To add to my previous question, please with regards to oil based lubricants- can it be safely used without condoms? Also, are there really good choices of oil based lubricants one can try?

Yes, it can be safely used. Grapeseed oil by now foods costs about 7000 naira for a big bottle that lasts me at least 4 months of 4x a week of sex. I don’t really like coconut oil but this is a personal choice cos it works. As for silicone lubes, they are entirely rare to come across in Nigeria so I normally just buy from Amazon and ship through International logistics companies

Sometimes I wonder if the moderator of that page is straight. Lol. The first day I read her ‘Not so skin care’ related post, the guffaw was almost demonic lol. Her posts about sex are always informative though. ?

??????? We bind and cast these rumours on your behalf.

About the Uber Lube… Frankly, this is the first time I’m hearing of it. I know oil-based feels oily and water-based feels watery. So what are the characteristics that distinguish Uber Lube from the other two?
