ISHRAI is a Non-profit organisation working to advocate for the sexual reproductive health and rights of sexual and gender minorities by supporting, promoting and enhancing knowledge on issues around sexual diversity and gender justice through policy advocacy, capacity building and research.
The organisation seeks to recruit and hire competent personnel in the following categories.
Job Title: Program Officer (PO)
Quantity: 1
Location: Lagos State
Type: Full-time
Work Hours: 40 hours per week
Qualification: BSc/HND
Education/Experience: A graduate of Public Health, Social/Management Sciences, International Relation and Linguistic with experience in Social and development work.
Skills/Competencies:
Working knowledge of Microsoft office, Excel and program management software
Excellent knowledge of performance evaluation techniques
Strong organizational abilities including planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation
Ability to speak the local languages
Strong written and oral communication skills
Proposal writing and development experience.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Coordinate and developing of new ideas and projects to meet the organization’s objectives, goals, mission and vision
Oversee and support the programs unit by providing technical and strategic guidance, program direction, input and feedback
Ensure that interventions are tailored to meet the needs and promote the rights of target populations and the community which the organization serves
Serve as technical lead on development of project proposals and concept notes for new program ideas in collaboration with the program officers
Provide management oversight for ongoing programs, ensuring all projects are managed to budget and achieve the planned results on time, based on organizational policy and donor requirements
Coordinate the development of annual organizational programs work plans and budget
Provide regular program and operational reports to the Executive Director and Programs Committee
Maintain and strengthen relationships with program partners and stakeholders
Review and approve all organizational program reports submitted to external partners and donors
Oversee program/project related monitoring, evaluation and learning process
Report monitoring and evaluation findings to the Executive Director and recommend changes to enhance the program, as appropriate
Develop technical documents including training guides, manuals, booklets etc to aid the implementation of programs at the field level.
Job Title: Finance and Administrative Officer

Work Hours: 40 hours per week
Qualification: BSc/HND
Education/Experience: A graduate of Accountancy, Business Management, Finance or related field, experience in grants finance role in Social and development work.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain financial and management procedures for the Project
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements as relating to the Rules and Regulations of the project donors
Advise on the proper allocation of projects fund
Prepare and review detailed budgets for approval by management
Make regular reports to management on income, expenditure and any variations from budgets
Ensure that all financial reporting obligations are met in relation to submissions for funding, for grant aid, for contracts and any other initiatives
Ensure that all finances are properly administered and monitored
Designs, generates and analyses financial reports for the donor and internal management.
Job Title: Care and Support Officer
Quantity: 1
Location: Lagos State
Type: Full-time
Work Hours: 40 hours per week
Qualification: BSc/HND
Education/Experience: BSc/HND in a relevant health degree, a minimum of 2 years technical experience with community-level HIV prevention, Care & Support Programs.
Skills/Competencies:
Working knowledge of Microsoft office, Excel and program management software
Experience in supporting HIV Testing and Counselling programs in health facilities, mobile units and community outreaches
Knowledge of Government of Nigeria HIV Care and Treatment guidelines and experience working with HIV programs
Excellent English oral and written communication skills required.
Ability to speak the local languages
Proposal writing and development experience.
Roles and Responsibilities:
To provide technical and programmatic support primarily in the areas of HIV prevention, Community based Care & Support for project beneficiaries affected
Must be responsible for implementing strategies designed to strengthen the linkages between the community based care activities and health facilities providing HIV care and treatment towards ensuring a continuum of care
Must support in the area of HIV prevention awareness creation, community mobilization for HIV counselling and testing, HIV/TB care and support
Must support the implementation of evidence-based interventions aimed at addressing HIV risk behaviors, HIV transmission, and gender-based violence with a focus on Key Population
Work with other project staff to ensure adherence to technical standards, best practices for all HIV Prevention Care & Support activities of the project
Support strategies towards ensuring that project activities are built on strong behavior change principles, and build the capacity of Community Volunteers and relevant project staff in effective implementation and monitoring
Work closely with assigned facilities unit, LSACA and LACA in identifying and capitalizing on leverage points for improved linkages and referral coordination at the community level and for integration of HIV Prevention
Attend all relevant central trainings and meetings and submit training reports to Program Manager
Step-down all central trainings to community volunteers and other relevant stakeholders at the LGA and community levels
Ensure proper documentation of all program activities implemented including ensuring beneficiaries provided with relevant HIV services
Support the formation and regular meeting of beneficiary support groups in project communities.
