Rosie O’Donnell Claims She Knew About Whitney Houston’s Girlfriend

For seemingly no reason, Watch What Happens! Live host and Bravo honcho Andy Cohen decided to dust up Whitney Houston’s rumoured queer sexuality on his program.

During the broadcast, Cohen asked former View co-host Rosie O’Donnell about the legendary singer’s sexuality, which led O’Donnell to reveal that she had known about Houston’s alleged relationship with Robyn Crawford, which was also discussed in the recent documentary, Whitney: Can I Be Me?

“I knew that they were together,” O’Donnell said. “I was friends with a lot of very athletic older lesbian women who were in the WNBA – all these basketball playing women. I knew that, I knew it for a very long time. Everyone sort of knew it.”

O’Donnell said it was “very surprising” when Clive Davis said that he had never discussed Houston’s sexuality with her.

In Can I Be Me, Davis said that Houston’s relationship with Crawford caused radio programmers to question the singer’s sexuality. The documentary also said that Crawford and Bobby Brown fought for Houston’s attention.

In 2013, Houston’s mother Cissy Houston told Oprah Winfrey said it “absolutely” would have bothered her if her daughter came out as gay.
