The Minority Report talks about the Narcissism of some ‘Activism’

“When you are involved in a movement to make things better on any front, THAT is the focus and that should always be the focus.” – Chiedozie Dike

A few days ago, a Twitter user, Solomon Buchi, created a furor on Nigerian Twitter when he announced that he would no longer “identify with the secular feminism institution.”

Apparently, as a Christian, he had discovered that there are “extremely leftist ideologies” inherent in feminism that his “Christian faith doesn’t authenticate” – such ideologies like sexual liberation, LGBTQ and prostitution.

He however is still “anti-misogyny” and “anti-patriarchy” and will “speak against systemic oppression structured against women”, but his “advocacy will be an expression of my faith in a just God”. And so, even though the LGBTQ community is “deserving of love and should never be hunted or treated in a dehumanizing manner, however God’s word frowns on the act just like every other sin”.

LOL!

Of course, you know the hosts of The Minority Report would have a thing or two to say about this.

Here are Solomon Buchi’s tweets:

And here is the episode addressing the narcissism of his feminism:

If your activism isn’t centred on the ideal you’re championing, but rather becomes a means for self-aggrandisement, then you’re not an activist.
