WELCOME! THE DOOR IS OPEN

WELCOME! THE DOOR IS OPEN

So, quite recently, another American athlete, UMass guard Derrick Gordon came out, joining the increasingly courageous sportsmen in the US of A who have refused to hide who they truly are from the face of the society.

These Americans sef, I envy them seriously. To be in such an environment that, while still been hostile, is also tolerant enough to welcome the declaration of independence from the shackles the society has placed on us concerning who and what it is appropriate to be.

Anyway, as me sef am a Nigerian, I don’t have that luxury. But somehow, we have to keep expressing ourselves. Whether it be through the hushed moans you try to stop yourself from making while you and your partner are getting down and sweaty behind closed doors (because sex must be enjoyed, whether 14 years is there or not). Or whether it be through the formation of super-secret, super-exclusive social media groups with timelines where the members can update whatever thoughts they have without any fear of recriminations. Or whether it be through this here forum – Kito Diaries (Don’t you dare laugh at the name 🙂 ), a place where we can tell our stories for all and sundry to read, and still remain incognito and away from prying eyes.

Whichever one it is wont to be, we need to express ourselves. Our desires. Our stories. Our fears. And that is what I hope this blog will mean to you and me. A medium for interaction. As we progress, and by God’s grace, we shall be bringing updates in the form of stories (both fiction and non-fiction) to y’all. I do so hope you will have a fun time catching up on your readings. And perhaps, letting us have your stories to publish for the reading delight of others. Your opinions and interactions in the comments section would be entirely your responsibility, while I would be responsible for the stories I share.

Do spread the word too. Kito Diaries is here, hopefully, to stay. Good morning, my people.

Do please follow us on twitter: @panther_blog and for any submissions, let us have your stories at pantherptb@yahoo.com.

I remain yours faithfully, Pink Panther (So not my real name 😉 )
