Last month, there broke the horrific story of a gay teen who was verbally abused, physically assaulted and kicked out of his home by his family because he is gay.

The video went viral and generated an outpouring of financial support for the teen that he went on to donate a portion of to a homeless shelter.

After popular straight YouTube vlogger SupDaily06 saw the video, he felt compelled to address the incident. As a part of his response video, the vlogger asked his followers a simple question: if you could choose to be gay or straight, which would you choose?

Nice…. I’ve had the question thrown at me once… I replied, saying that I wouldn’t change a thing about me..
The only reason I would wanna be straight is for family acceptance… Not even society…
    Apart from that, screw straight!!!..

I totally get what you mean. All that talking with his hands, the display of emotions and the voice makes me wonder if he isn’t family. Maybe that’s why the story got to him so much.

Oh come on, guys. Why do we like reaching. A celebrity is fashionable n good looking, n we say he’s gay. A public figure empathizes with the gay community, n yup, he’s gotta be gay. Sometimes, guys can be effeminate and not gay. Some guys can defend our team die! and not be gay. Sometimes its just that uncomplicated

The only reason I would want to be straight, is because of my wonderful mom and dad and the inevitable hurt that my sexuality would cause them, other than that fuck society.

Hmm. Well, I’m gay now. I can’t change even if I try, even if I wanted to.

I know being gay complicates and makes my life hard in so many ways, I have never for a single day regretted being who i am. I was created this way for a reason and u must fulfil my purpose in life. I shall/must also give my dear sweet Mum the grandchild(ren) she so richly deserves …

I don’t think we are all called to be parents. This is the reason why some people are twisted and damaged in this life; they were raised by people who have no business being parents.

This is just my opinion anyway, what do I know

Well Dennis, some pple wld disagree wt you. Many people report feeling they are not designed to be parents until their kids come along and then they discover that they actually have what it takes to be parents. What do I know as well?

@Khaleesi Well I guess it’s a matter of choice. Maybe I will change my mind in my 40s, but for now I think it’s a NO!

Ummm … I am gay and I’m not in denial … Although sometimes when I think of the whole drama I might cause in the future,my mind starts imagining me being straight and I then compare the two to see how my life would turn out to be… But when I do so,the only difference I see in both lifes is just the presence of a woman in one and the absence of a woman in the other cos I can bear children even as a gay dude…. So I’d say the only issue I have is the family drama I would face if I come out … So it boils down to me and me alone ..will I be able to selflessly sacrifice my happiness for a fake life and for the happiness of my family OR will I just damn them and do my thing and be happy and give them an option to either love me the way I am or keep their distance .. But that’s a decision I’m yet to take …so till then I’m gay and happy
