From the chapter, ‘My Sexuality Is Just The Icing On The Cake’, OW has this to say:
“There are times when I study the bible and I figure, seriously, all these things are ancient laws. It doesn’t apply now. The main law that applies now is: love your God and love your neighbour as yourself. So how can loving someone be wrong?”
This is a question every pastor who has visited the wrath of God on gay people from the altar, every evangelist that has led his sermon with “Homosexuality is a sin and those who practise it are going to hell”, every parent who discovered their child is gay and began dragging him from deliverance session to deliverance session, every average man and woman who whip out the fury of Leviticus and Romans and beat at you with the transgressions of Sodom and Gomorrah, even every self-loathing gay person who does everything he possibly can to still the desires inside him – this is a question they have not given an honest answer to.
If God is love and loving your neighbour as yourself is what He has charged us to do, then how can loving (a same sex) someone be wrong?

preaching hate towards anyone; based on their orientation, race , color e.t.c. is unchristlike, and any religious leader doing that is incurring the wrath of God. even Jesus during his lifetime on earth was friends with minority and societal outcasts.
