“Being LGBT Leaves You Susceptible To HIV/AIDS.” Reno Omokri Proves Himself To Be An Idiot

It was only a matter of time before homophobes would crawl out of the woodworks to use Binyavanga Wainaina’s death as a talking point on how homosexuality is abominable. Considering that the deceased writer was HIV Positive, this serves as additional fodder for antigay rhetoric.

Former member of the Goodluck Jonathan administration and all-round specialist in everything prejudicial, from misogyny to homophobia, Reno Omokri didn’t waste time to preach this sermon.

He took to his social media account to tweet a shockingly-ignorant opinion that has no place in 2019. “Binyavanga Wainaina’s death is sad. But it is a teachable moment for those who want to force the LGBTQ lifestyle down our throats,” he tweeted. “It is a risky lifestyle. It leaves you susceptible to HIV/AIDS. If you have those urges, FIGHT it. Don’t EMBRACE it.”

And because the world has its share of people with more intelligence than Reno Omokri, the backlash to his tweet was swift and corrosive.

Finally, I’m just glad his idiocy was publicly handled. Haba! Those readings and insults gave me life. Out of 83 replies to his piece if schist tweet, less than 10 were supporting him.

I thought he was educated. The love of fame can make someone acts stupidly if care is not taken. He talks too much.

If you look at him closely, he kinda looks unhealthy.
