August 03, 06:06We really do not understand the importance of rights in this country, aswear.
Its just like Ayo said: “…where the legislature can just say something is illegal simply because it suits them at that moment to make it illegal. But democracy has to be balanced by rights. It shouldn’t be a tyranny of the majority. If the majority has their ways, the minority should also be able to have their say.”
This is the point Nigeria doesn’t get.
By the way, this is the first time I’m hearing Ayo Sogunro speak. For some reason, I’d always thought, from his brilliant writeups, that his speech will be so accented, you know, unto Nigerian OAP levels. That he is so locally accented is quite refreshing to hear.

August 03, 10:25Every human right in Nigeria is being trampled on along ageocratic, religious and ethnic lines ALL THE TIME. But of course, u have to be a society big wig before that right is recognised. Take for instance the assault on that woman within NASS grounds. How many women were/are maltreated by our uniformed monkeys? Did they not quote their rights? These uniformed monkeys only lied and the victims became even more victims in threat of being jailed. Trust me, everything in Nigeria will kill u.
OAN, we really shud start considering calling back our representatives. Sadly, it seems that the Lagos reps have an idea of what they are there for else it would have been easy to start with them.
