“I Am Straight AF.” Gbenro Ajibade addresses the speculation about his sexuality
Tinsel star, Gbenro Ajibade recently caused a stir online after flashing his nipple rings in an instagram post which he captioned with a rainbow emoji, which is usually a symbolism for gay pride. Considering that this was coming on the heels of the speculation of marriage troubles between him and his wife, Osas Ighodaro, the instagram post was interpreted to mean that the actor was gay and owning his truth.
Well, days after, Gbenro has now addressed the speculations.
In an instagram post with multiple photos, the actor claims he had no idea that the emoji could also be used to represent gay pride. And clarifies that he is not gay.
In his words, Gbenro says:

November 10, 11:39After we partied and chased boys together in club caliente those years before tinsel, abeg shift. We are all straights in Nigeria until proven otherwise. In fact, there’s no gays in Nigeria. Let us keep feeding into the usual, expected stereotype and hide ourselves away in the closets forever
