Will You?

Will You?

If I was a lie

Would you still believe?

Waking up to find I’m just your imagination

Will you doubt the words I’ve said,

The pictures I’ve painted,

The smiles I’ve stolen,

And the pains I’ve inflicted?

If we slept in the same bed

And you woke up alone

Will you still believe last night,

And wait in bed for breakfast?

If we were to go on a date

And I’m a little late

Will you doubt that I’d come,

Or would you wait however late for me to make it?

If I was your smile today

And caused you nothing but grief tomorrow

Will you in turn bring back my smile?

Will you weather the storm and wait on the sun,

Or would you just walk away from me,

Like a bad memory?

If I were to kiss you

Even when we are just friends

Will you forgive me?

Or will you kiss back?

Will you let me return the favor,

As you have stolen my heart?

If you were cold and lonely

Will you hug memories of me,

And hope they keep you warm?

When the silence is nagging at you

Will you replay my voice?

When you’re on a date with some random guy

Will you think of me inappropriately,

And hug yourself when you remember my touch?

If we loved then we lost each other

Will you make an attempt to find us back together,

Or just put a dying love out of its misery?

If we’ve never seen each other

Will you still trust these feelings to last,

And remain, whenever or whether we eventually see?

If you caught me in a kiss with another

Will you see it as cheating,

Or take the slightest assumption that he kissed me?

Would you do it my way

Just so no one else pleases me like you do?

Will you forgive me when I make mistakes,

Or lie about forgiveness and nag about it later?

Will you forget my past and wrongdoings

And enjoy the now?

If you were me

Would you love you?

I doubt very much there’s gon be any potential lover this perfect, who’ll say ‘I will’ to all this queries.
But if he exists, someone gimme his number.

His number Mandy? I got my eyes on you *turkey thief version* Lovely poem, but should I say poets envision too much? *insert Pensive smiley* a guy or girl like this would still be hibernating inside a capsule hanging inches away from molting lava, or deep within an ice wall. But beautiful poem nonetheless, first kd poem I ever actually read.

This is beautiful. If you caught me in a kiss with another

Will you see it as cheating,

Or take the slightest assumption that he kissed me?”

    That, I loved.
