Adult Film Star DeAngelo Jackson Announces Retirement From Porn

DeAngelo Jackson got started in gay porn over ten years ago, even though there have been a few years in between where he did not have a scene released. He mostly played top, but he did bottom at the start of his career and then last year at Men and Icon Male. He also made history by being the first Black performer to win the Best Actor award at the GayVN Awards.

And now, it would seem he is retiring from that career to pursue other interests.

He tweeted last week Friday that he was done with porn and would be pursuing a mainstream career as a model and an actor. He also talked about wanting to become more of an activist and a producer.

Jackson isn’t the only adult film performer to retire from (or attempt to quit) the porn industry. There have been retired veterans like Brent Corrigan, Eddie Diaz, Sebastian Kross and Colton Ford, the latter who stepped away from porn to pursue the mainstream career of being a singer. Others like Sean Maygers and Reese Rideout quit for a short while, and then un-retired and went back to filming gay porn.

Modeling will fit him. He’s more a photoshoot kinda guy than a porn performer. He’s quite boring as a porn actor. I won’t miss him in porn, but I’d sure like to see him strutting and flexing his stuff for the camera.
