“It’s About Boundaries And Respect.” Meghan Markle Reacts to Criticism of Her Requests for Privacy in Unaired Interview Moment

Meghan Markle addressed the idea that she should’ve expected to “lose privacy” when she married Prince Harry in previously unaired clip from Oprah Winfrey interview.

For months, Meghan Markle has been criticized by the U.K. press for a myriad of reasons, but it seems they’ve taken particular offense to the idea that she and Prince Harry deserve privacy.

Now, in a previously unaired clip of their tell-all interview shared to OprahMag.com, Oprah Winfrey asks about the notion that Meghan should’ve expected that she’d “lose privacy” when she married the royal. As Oprah puts it, “That’s part of the deal.”

However, Meghan says that’s not the case, explaining, “I think everyone has a basic right to privacy. Basic. We’re not talking about anything that anybody else wouldn’t expect.”

For those that don’t understand what a “basic right to privacy” looks like, Meghan comes up with the following example: “If you’re at work and you have a photograph of your child on your desk, and your co-worker says, ‘Oh, my gosh, your kid’s so cute. That’s fantastic! Can I see your phone so I can see all the pictures of your child?’ You go, ‘No. This is the picture I’m comfortable sharing with you.’”

Meghan adds that she and Prince Harry haven’t demanded total privacy now that they’re no longer working members of the royal family, as some headlines might suggest. She clarifies, “They’ve created a false narrative. I’ve never talked about privacy.”

The pregnant mom says everyone is entitled to the right to “share parts of your lives that you’re comfortable with.”

“There’s no one who’s on Instagram or social media that would say, ‘Because I shared this one picture, that entitles you to have my entire camera roll. Go ahead and look through it.’ No one would want that,” the former actress continues. “So it’s about boundaries. And it’s about respect.”

This is just one of the many clips from Meghan and Harry’s two-hour long interview that didn’t make the cut.

However, in the wake of the explosive interview, Buckingham Palace issued a statement on behalf of the Queen.

The Palace had been under pressure to respond to claims made by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and released a statement around 5.30PM UK time, revealing that Queen Elizabeth II is “saddened” to hear of their challenges.

She added: “The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. Whilst some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately. Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members.”

The unusual statement comes after Prince Harry and Markle dropped a series of bombs during their sit-down with Oprah Winfrey, which was seen by 17 million people in America and 11.3M in the UK on ITV.

During the two-hour special, Markle revealed that she was questioned about her son’s skin color before he was born. The Sussex’s did not reveal the identity of the individual who made the remarks, but later told Winfrey that it was not the Queen or Prince Philip.

Other brutal moments included Markle revealing that she considered taking her own life because her mental health took such a battering during her time in the UK, while Prince Harry said his father, Prince Charles, stopped answering his calls at the height of their break from the royal family.

The Queen stopped short of announcing a formal investigation into the race remarks, despite Buckingham Palace pledging last week to look into allegations that Markle bullied her staff while she was in residence at Kensington Palace.

I am sorry but this woman is full of shit . I totally agree with the message she is carrying and what she is conveying BUT I 100% do not trust the messenger.

You married into the f****g Royal family, bloody buckingham palace and all you have done is whine and cry since you got there .

If you are leaving leave, if you are going to condemn an institution then condemn it, but for fucks sake do not try to be a martyr for a cause you have never once stood up for and which you are now only joining because it suits you.

Unfortunately being a public figure comes with a certain loss of the expectation of privacy , I mean frigging Barack Obama wrote in his book and said in his interview that the minute he became president he realized just how much of his privacy he and his family had to lose and that was okay because they signed up for that.

She expected to marry the heir to the throne and then do what? Be able to walk to Kalaba market and buy fish by herself ? Or be yabbing on an unsecure line with her mates in LA.

I could speak here all day but I leave it clear , the British are not an easy lot Racism is a REAL problem and that permeates and infects the very core of that monarchy and needs to be addressed . But Meghan Friggin Merkhel is not the victim here , faaaarrrrrr away from it…

When a Gay person of previlage goes out and lies I will not defend them either, when a Black or semi black person goes out and lies there is nowhere it is written because I come from a minority I have to side with every single charlatan that crosses the streets and yell racism or discrimination …..

I work with LGBTQI rights, I work in Womens Empowerment, I work in gender Based Violence and trust me we have a lot of real people out there hurting and in pain and who unfortunately do not have infinite resources and acting skills to go out and tell a fake story on a syndicated network …..

anyways to each their own, Nigerians believe anything anyways so please continue

So a person who states they are mentally STRUGGLING, that their unborn child is receiving racial bias and that they had only left their home two days in total out of 4 months and there are people who think that she’s not a victim? And their first instinct is to attack her?

Who does anyone think they are to diminish how another is feeling! This is exactly why suicide is at a particularly high rate! Somebody spoke out about their mental struggle, amongst other things, but well, you don’t like her so you’re going to go ahead and shit all over any decency you may have in you.

Lol. Una go tire las las. The woman said it all when she finished her interview by inserting the fact that her happiness is present and complete. Despite all the anti Meghan hate and the haters and trolls, she’s got her happy ending. So y’all can just go on stewing in your hate.

A simple Google search will show you how many time Meghan left the palace in the time she lived there, stop being a gullible idiot and just swallowing everything you are fed. She traveled to several countries inclusive and I am wondering how she was partying in Ibiza with george Clooney and came for a baby shower in new York if she was the poor black slave girl locked up inside the palace with no passport and no keys ………

No one is dminishing her feeling what we are saying is that we have come too far in the black struggle and in the fight for racial justice to have someone come out with unfounded, unprovable claims and just hope that ooooohhh wait all black people because we are soooooo “woke”will immediately jump to you defense and believe you 100% of the time

Ask yourself one simple question, If she had gotten all those things she wanted, Royal title for her child, security and bla bla bla, would she still be here singing this song ???? THERE YOU HAVE YOUR ANSWER!!!

too many times we let false narratives cloud our judgement about real issues and this is one of those

It appears that, if someone who is deemed to belong to an “intersectional” racial minority claims to be the victim of racism or to have been driven by white society to mental illness, then this must be accepted as true without even hearing the other side of the story. Indeed, there can be no other side.

That is basically what we are saying, This woman lived in california one of the most racist places on earth, faaaaaaarrrrr worse than the United Kigdom (and yes I have lived there as a black Gay man so I know) and you want to tell me it is the British all the way on the other side of the ocean that drove her to suicide ?

he behavior by Meghan and Prince Harry was contemptible, anyone with an objective eye and mind could see that they were lying through their teeth.

She is just another Jussie Smollet who went and fabricated a hate crime and used being black and being gay to garner sympathy and yes of course the whole world fell for the lies until it was discovered to be pure 100% Bullshit.

You can all call me names say what you want about me but it’s not because I am Gay or because I am black that I have to believe any nonsense that comes out of the mouth of someone who would not know racism if it slapped her in the face.

There are real people out there with real problem and genuinely suffering and now we are drawing attention from real victims and real sufferers for a spoilt brat who just wants attention. I mean a 36 year old man who has never had to lift a finger a day in his life saying he is trapped is a Big Joke, he could have packed up and left as soon as he was 18, he was not a prisoner ………

Meghan dated this man for months and months almost two years, we really want to believe that the family waited until she was married and actually a member of the family to suddenly turn around and say oops we forgot to tell you we are racist bigots and we don’t like you …….

You idiots really believe the Royal Monarchy would not have stopped this relationship or this whole wedding if they didn’t like her or want her ?? they would go to all the trouble of having society accept her to then begin telling her to go away?

Meghan is upset because she wanted both worlds and didn’t get it PERIOD! now that she realizes she has to deal with the consequences of her actions and so does her man child of a a husband they are like oops, we need to find a way to make money and fast oh yeah let’s start selling our story and use that to launch a platform ……

aaaaaaaaaahhhhh u na go give me pressure and heartburn
