No Strings With Mike Daemon (Episode 22)
The subject of homosexuality in Nigeria is still very much a no-discuss subject, even though recent research and survey studies has shown that there is great positive improvement with the way people treat the issue in Nigeria. But someone took on the courage at a certain time to make a film about homosexuality in spite of this perceived hostility. A British Nigerian film, Rag Tag was partly shot in Nigeria about two young men who fell in love with each other and went against almost everything to be together, and lived happily ever after.
Rag Tag raised serious debates at the time when it was first premiered. NoStrings sorts out Adaora Nwandu, creator and director of the film, and she takes us behind the scenes of what happened and what it took her to finally get it out.
Check on THE INTERVIEW HERE.

It is a lie oooooo. Google where art thou?
Kester you are veryyyyy funny!
Max, once you have it, give me a shout.
Hard drive reaper!!! Fcourse I’ll let you know
Finally!!!
A film I have seen that most people here haven’t seen.
Anyway, it is a step in the right direction.
About a guy who had a girlfriend and was supposed to get married but he fell in love with his friend. Both of them travelled to the village in Nigeria for a business trip and their love blossomed, they even met an uncle, advanced in age who wasnt married. I get the man was gay.
I have it somewhere in my drop box account.
Maybe you didn’t get the memo abi? Eh baba Sinnex? About my history with people and spoilers.
Kpachalu Anya gi.
Yeah mike, saw that link. 358Mb is small Na.piece of cake. It’ll only take a fee minutes to download it. The movies I normally download are in excess of 1GB per file.
And also about the thing of copying, it’s annoying as hell. I’ve given up all hope. For example you can’t copy that link you just wrote. It’s a huge flaw
Ok ok. I’ve heard. Simmer down. I’m getting him to rework that bit of inconvenience
My apologies. I’ll tell him to fix it right away.
It worked. We can now copy. Why d hell did he do it in the first place?
Mtchew.
Its a true o. Saw the movie last year. Nice
Deola, where are you?
Pls tell me you have this movie.
Listening to this was a breathe of fresh air. I’m sure the detractors of #NoStrings will try to now have several seats as a lot of condemning has been done in the past.
@MikeDaemon u have to be steadfast and know that the result of hard work is more work. Starting something is always typically hard and I’m sure you have less of your frustration shown in the past and more grease to your elbow.
Congrats with your work in showcasing talents external to the eyes of the ordinary citizen.
Just watched the trailer. I want to see this movie.
Gonna find a way to download it
so needing it too…
Here is the link to watch it, the original file size is huge its 358.9MB for download, but if you do not mind then there’s an option to download, but alternatively you can watch it online. It took me hours to find it after i saw the trailer. here it is: movdivx.com/v1eu5lshtt28/Rag_Tag_p1-1.flv.html. And Pinky ask your web developer to deactivate this feature that does not allow people to copy and paste contents from and on your website. This is an interactive platform so people should be able to share contents easily. imagine i had to type in the link above bit by bit, and was unable to right click to correct typographical errors, i tell you it’s tiring.
Now people will be unable to just click the link and move directly to where they can access it, everyone will have to type in the link bit by bit including you pinky, how hard that is.
I will watch the trailer, and go download. A Nigerian gay movie? Someone beat me to it.
