“I Was Formally A Man.” Bobrisky may have clarified (once again) that she is transgender

Controversial figure, Bobrisky, took to social media yesterday (December 26) to address the issue of her gender. The socialite, who has often tauntingly boasted about having two genders, went on her Instagram page to reflect on her navigation through life, first as a man and then as a woman.

“I was formally a man for almost 25yrs, nothing to show for it,” she shared in a caption of a picture that placed two different looks side by side each other, one clearly of her as a gauche-looking younger male and the other of the more sophisticated female she currently presents with. “I kept struggling even with my certificate as a graduate of accounting in university of Lagos, nothing to still show for it.”

She went on to talk about how she noticed her female friends “cashing out back then” and had to think about what to do to get ahead in life.

“I went home and think about my life. If I join robbery, they will end up killing me,” she said. “Secondly I don’t even have that heart to think to that dimension or to even scam people of their sweat.”

She admitted to feeling feminine when growing up, and so, she decided to try cross dressing. And thus began her swift rise to fame and fortune.

“Under one year of cross dressing, I started making money,” she shared. “I was still surprise. So I gave my body more time, rubbing expensive creams, smelling good, using more of females body pills and looking out for myself. Boom, more money keep coming… men admiring me, women giving me endorsements from right and left. Short story I fit in as a female to a man. God bless all d women around d world, many of you love me and accepted me, save me and I will always respect WOMEN.”

Bobrisky first publicly identified as transgender when she called herself “Nigeria’s First Trans” in 2019. But in an interview with Dele Momodu in August this year, she essentially walked back those comments by clarifying that she is “not trans, just cross dresser.”

However, this matter seems to be settled for her, because she also shared in another Instagram post that she has saved enough money to transition fully into a woman next year.

In addition to that, she shared the picture of an Asian transwomen whose transition clearly inspired her, saying, “If she didn’t die during her sex change, trust me I won’t die … Have always loved to be a woman from child birth. Now that I have plenty money, let my wish come to pass.”

I hope there’ll be no taking back of words and “they misunderstood me” in future.
