Lil Nas X Comes Out In Post That Marks The End Of Pride Month

Lil Nas X celebrated the end of Pride Month by sharing something huge. In a Twitter post, the rapper asked fans to go listen to a track off of his recent EP 7 with fresh ears.

“Some of y’all already know, some of y’all don’t care, some of y’all not gone fwm no more. but before this month ends i want y’all to listen closely to c7osure,” he said in a post that ended with rainbow and sparkle emojis.

The lyrics to “c7osure” are incredibly vague. However, with a little nudge, it’s easy to see how it could be a song about the struggle to come out.

“Brand new places I’ll choose and I’ll go, I know / Embracin’ this news I behold unfolding,” he raps. “I know, I know, I know it don’t feel like it’s time / But I look back at this moment, I’ll see that I’m fine.”

People, as well as other musicians, were fully behind Nas and praised him for sharing the post to his fanbase.

Lil Nas X also engaged with fans who tweeted out jokes.

All in all, Lil Nas X has been having an amazing year. He dropped off his debut EP and has been doing extremely well on the charts with his viral hit, “Old Town Road.”

There is such power in this coming out. Imagine being black and dominating the charts with a COUNTRY song, and then like the cherry on top, you’re also gay.
Well done, Lil Nas X. You are something special.

I first saw him performing at this year’s BET and oh my he was STEW from head to toe. Such a bold young man. I’m waiting for the day any of this wouldn’t matter and coming out will be a thing of the past. Until then let’s keep busting the closet doors one gay at a time!
    Kudos Lil Nas X ??
