On Friday the 7th of August 2015, certain members of the Nigerian LGBTIQ community moved from their different homes to attend a birthday party hosted by a friend in a hotel called Annabeth’s Hotels & Club, located somewhere at 2nd Artillery, Port Harcourt city, Rivers State, Nigeria.
After a few hours at the hotel, some very strange faces trooped in and shut down the environment and then unleashed horror on these innocent young people who were only just having a party. NOSTRINGS captured everything, including the stories told by the victims themselves, and even recorded a session with the manager of the hotel as he denied everything and even threatened to arrest Mike Daemon for even coming to the scene.

My dear, i felt like squeezing that manager. You needed to see the kind of injury those guys sustained, that wicked law is causing all this.
Just imagine the manager’s account sef. What kind of nonsense fabrication is that? That people used a party as an excuse to get into his hotel to rob guests. And then the carnage ensued when they were trying to escape. What kind of rubbish story is that? Nawa o!

Come to think of it, why would someone go through the hassles of organizing a party because he and his gang wants to rob the hotel and its environs? That’s so crazy if you think about it.
What kind of hotel is that sef? Na face me I jam you? I am sure the so called manager was putting on boxers and singlet while drinking burukutu.

Next time, if you must organise a party, do so in a high class hotel like Transcorp or Le Meridian, if you don’t have the money, then just do it your house and make sure it is a gated compound. Most importantly, don’t do it in a populated area or a slum or something.

Nice investigative piece Mike. i am totally saddened by this news. and the manager who said if not for the way you came, he would have held you, what rubbish? That is a very stupid threat. Guys need to be careful these days, people are broke and jobless and it is biting hard at every atom of humanity they have left.
