Facebook Post Of The Day VI

“When we were saying you guys, don’t let them pass that anti-gay bill, y’all thought we were tripping. When we were saying that doing something like that empowers every ignorant person, when we were screaming our guts out, crying, begging, fighting, you people thought we were crazy. Our morality was called to question. You threw passages from your bibles and Qur’an at us, and when that failed, you threw our history as Africans in the mix. When that didn’t suffice, you appealed to us to sympathize with your personal sensibilities and feelings of disgust.

“Now an innocent boy, a young life has been cut off so brutally. How are you liking your morality now? Now you are crying ‘no they should not have killed him’. Well fuck you very much. All of you who supported the gay bill, you all killed Olumide, you, you and you. Hope you’re happy.

“He’s only the first. More will die. I hope you sleep well. I hope you’re happy in the upholding of our joint national morality. I hope you are secure that with every gay person mobbed, Nigeria becomes safer for you and your children.

“Enjoy your gay bill, you hear?”

In a Facebook post, Pearl Osibu reprimands the general homophobic Nigerian public.

Scenario 1: I’m charged to court for the murder of three men. I eventually let the court know that the three men I killed were assassins sent by an unknown enemy. The court let’s me go.. #selfdefense

Scenario 2: I’m charged to court for the murder of three men. I eventually let the court know that the three men I killed had knives on them, wanting to kill me because they thought I might be gay (they stole their way into my hotel room and listened to me converse with another gay man) I tell them I am gay. I’m judged based on my sexuality, not my offence, so therefore I’m just puny Shit. I shout “it could have been two innocent business men that died” the judge says “silence, you disgust me. I see no reason why you shouldn’t have been killed”

Did I say Nigeria will change? no no no.. I was sleeping when I wrote that.

Nigeria won’t change during our lifetime.. It’s something everyone should make peace with and figure out a plan for themselves.

LOL!!! When I fell in love with Pearl Osibu was when she took on Linda Ikeji during that plagiarisation drama last year. Chai! Nigerian homophobes, fuck you very much indeed.

Thank you very much Pearl! The anti-gay bill gave an official stamp of approval to homophobes to go to any length they wish in furthering their homophobic hate.
Call me a pessimist, yes, there is some change amongst the younger well-exposed,educated group but the VAST majority of Nigerians remain deeply and lethally homophobic. As for gays being freely embraced and accepted, that’ll happen in our great grandchildren’s great-great grandchildren’s grandchildren’s time …. And not anytime sooner … Sorry luvs wake up and taste the pudding …

@Pinky, I don’t see that happening anytime soon.. Even majority of gay people don’t like themselves..

The thing get as e be. Nigerians have turned cold-hearted murderers overnight because of their staunch hate towards homosexuality. I like the intense fire I see in the writings of many ‘happy’ fellows. No one is finding it funny anymore. It’s violence they want, it’s violence they’d get. Why kill? Many gay guys have had enough and it’s glaring they’d revenge (something I can’t wait for to happen).
No one deserves to die on account of his sexuality! #imAkin
