Some days, you log onto the internet and the joy you get is boundless. Especially when the source of that joy is the total obliteration of prejudice.
Julius Anthony Johnson did not anticipate the demise of his social media existence when he decided to take it upon himself to make a public service announcement for all those who may be Facebook friends with trans woman, Jasmine Amerson.
“This is a Nigga, so whoever friends with it better go delete yallselves,” he updated, no doubt feeling smug with the good work he had just done. No doubt expecting a torrent of hate and trans-bashing in his comments section.
Except that wasn’t what he got.
