Tyler Perry Opens Up About Stalker Drama

305612047823_261971691985Director/actor Tyler Perry has opened up about the drama involving an alleged stalker, describing the “scary” stand-off at his film studios.

Joshua Sole, 27, was arrested for criminal trespass at the Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia on 31 October (14) after police were called to the facility to investigate reports he had allegedly disengaged a power line, set off an alarm, and then entered the studio through the ceiling in a bid to meet Perry.

The Alex Cross star, who was at his home in Los Angeles at the time of the incident, has now detailed the drama in a post on Facebook, branding it a “scary situation”.

Perry writes, “I did not know this person at all, because he works in a department that I have no firsthand dealings with… This young man wasn’t fired and didn’t get into it with anyone at the studio. He just decided that he wanted to meet me… After 45 minutes (searching for him) they heard him inside of the sheetrock walls. He had somehow climbed into the drop ceiling and made his way into an empty office. He barricaded himself inside and refused to come out of the office until he met me…

“After he was arrested they searched the small office he had barricaded himself in, and he had left his headshot on the wall with a note to me saying ‘I believe in your leadership.’ I don’t know what he was thinking. But let’s be clear, to do something like this someone has to be mentally disturbed.”

Perry has since filed a lawsuit against Sole for disrupting his work, and asked for an order of protection to keep him away.

Sole was released on $7,000 (£4,375) bail in the hours after his arrest.

Asking the court to restrict the guy from coming to him and making the story a boring topic is a enough … What’s wrong with this one … People get stalked, get used to it .. He didn’t even try to harm him and the “I believe in your leadership” phrase is just weird …
